Job summary

PPL Electric Utilities Corp. is seeking a senior professional to schedule and resource transmission and distribution substation work across its service territory.

You will plan long-range projects, allocate PL vs contractor crews, and coordinate with field teams to ensure readiness for execution. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills, plus a track record in utility-scale planning and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent with year-for-year experience.
• 5+ years in engineering, construction/operating assignments, field operations, resource scheduling or design.
• Valid PA Driver's License.
• Two years transmission & substation or utility line construction experience.
• Two-year technical degree or four year degree in business or planning.
• Knowledge of resource management, scheduling tools and reporting.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the transmission and distribution substation schedule and ensure all work is planned and ready for field implementation.
• Schedule all long-range transmission and distribution substation projects for current and future years.
• Determine resource allocation of PL versus contractor crews for short and long-range transmission and distribution substation work.
• Conduct weekly work plan meetings to communicate priorities to foremen and planning coordinators and assure understanding of status of current and future weeks' work.
• Conduct weekly work plan meetings with Contractors and Planning Coordinators to communicate priorities and assure understanding of status of current week.
• Place long-range TCC/SO permit requests for current and future years.
• Participate in weekly switching call to define T-1 switching schedule.
• Monitor transmission and distribution substation budget for BI and large projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
