Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking an Associate Engineer in Hartford, CT to ensure the Transmission program supports reliable service at the lowest possible cost. You will help develop capital budgets, coordinate multi-year plans, and drive project scope, cost, and schedule with engineering, project management, and cost estimating teams.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, asset performance benchmarking, and ongoing engagement with internal functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Electrical engineering degree preferred.
• 0-3 years related experience required.
• Engineering design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides input to the development of the Transmission capital budget.
• Identifies and prioritizes projects for the one-year and five-year Capital Budget Plan.
• Works with Engineering, Project Management, and Cost Estimating to develop detailed project scope, cost, and schedule.
• Leads interdisciplinary project team to select the best solution, document alternatives analysis, and present project approval justifications.
• Develops operational strategies for asset resources and analyzes transmission system performance.
