Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Section Manager to join our growing Power Delivery group in the Minnesota / Wisconsin Area. You will guide a transmission engineering team, manage project delivery, and ensure technical excellence.

You will mentor engineers, oversee workload, and serve as a hands-on leader in delivering high-quality transmission projects. Requirements include a BS in Engineering, PE license, and 10+ years of experience with routing, permitting, PLS-CADD, tower design, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional registration may be required.
• 10+ years of technical transmission line experience with design and project delivery.
• Strong communication, leadership, and ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for daily operations of the Transmission section, including staff development, project profitability, team morale, and quality control.
• Function as a Project Manager, overseeing production and delivery on key transmission projects.
• Lead and coordinate technical services with other groups and staff.
• Support local marketing efforts, including strategic planning, proposal development, and interviews.
• Train, develop, and manage personnel within the section.
• Collaborate with Area and Regional leadership on marketing and production efforts.
• Implement and support company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties to support the team and clients.
