Job summary

ComEd is seeking a Project Manager to lead or support transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT projects with cross-functional teams. The role includes managing scope, schedule, budget, and safety performance, with project budgets typically ranging from $250K to $5 million.

Extended hours may be required during storms or energy delivery emergencies. The Project Manager will interface with stakeholders, mentor team members, and coordinate resources to ensure successful project outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 2–4 years PM experience; or High School Diploma with 3–6 years PM experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field, 2–4 years PM experience; or High School Diploma with 3–6 years PM experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively and foster culture change.
• Ability to work independently and as a team leader with conflicting priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership, communications and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies including technology and performance.
• Strong judgment and time management skills.
• PM skills, writing, and PC skills including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project, Passport.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support overall project and program performance across transmission, substation, distribution, gas, IT and organizational initiatives.
• Manage costs, schedule, scope and risks; develop recovery plans to stay within approved limits.
• Interface with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with team members, line managers, interface organizations and contract providers.
• Act as primary communicator with sponsor and stakeholders on project issues, including executive presentations.
• Coach and lead team members to ensure clear responsibilities and task completion.
• Identify and obtain project team resources with Management assistance; help ensure resources are available for larger projects.
