1898 & Co. seeks a Transmission Planning Consultant to advance electric grid reliability, renewable integration, and technical analysis across North America.

You will perform advanced transmission system studies, support client decisions with high-quality economic analysis, and contribute to project execution from planning through reporting. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Experience with electric utility planning, operations, or consulting.
• Knowledge of NERC/FERC standards and regional requirements.
• Experience with power system planning studies and industry software.
• Strong documentation and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission system studies including power flow and stability analyses.
• Support client decision-making with technical and economic analyses.
• Develop life-cycle cost estimates and risk assessments.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients.
• Assist project managers with deliverables and BD efforts.
• Engage in client meetings and technical reviews.
