Qualifications

• Current student in ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program with Power Systems focus.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Support transmission planning studies including steady-state load flow, contingency, and voltage performance analyses for the Colorado transmission system.
• Assist with dynamic and transient stability evaluations to assess system response to faults and renewable integration.
• Develop, update, and validate transmission network models using PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD, MATLAB, Python, and DSATools.
• Analyze study results and prepare technical reports and presentations to support planning decisions.
• Collaborate with teams on reliability, grid modernization, and large-load interconnections.
