Job summary

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering with focus on Power Systems.
- Undergraduate candidates should have at least one power systems course; graduate candidates should be pursuing MS or PhD in power systems.
- Able to work full-time during the summer and part-time during school year with in-person/hybrid work policy.
Responsibilities
- Support transmission planning studies including steady-state load flow, contingency and voltage performance analyses for the Colorado transmission system.
- Develop, update, and validate transmission models using PSS/E, PSLF, TARA, DSATools, and PSCAD.
- Analyze study results and prepare technical reports, presentations and recommendations for planning decisions.
- Collaborate with transmission planning, operations, protection, and modeling teams on reliability and grid modernization projects.
- Contribute to projects involving renewable energy integration, DOE initiatives, and long-term transmission expansion planning.
