Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking a student intern for the Transmission Engineering Services group in Denver, CO. You will support data completeness, quality assurance of substation and transmission design packages, and document control using ProjectWise.

The role requires full-time summer availability (up to 40 hours/week) and part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week) with in-person attendance as per our hybrid policy. May 31, 2027 start date; potential extension based on performance.

Qualifications

• Drafting/design experience is preferred.
• Experience with data analytics and data management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) is essential.

Responsibilities

• Interpret markups and comments to update drawings and spreadsheets accurately.
• Work with Field crews and Facility Ratings Engineers to keep data complete, correct, and compliant.
• Update tracker progress regularly.
