Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman in the Fort Worth, TX area to construct and repair transmission systems, both energized and de-energized.

You will climb structures, operate bucket trucks, and work outdoors in varying conditions, with outages and on-call rotations as part of the job. A CDL and 3 years of transmission line experience are required. Travel to out-of-state locations may be required to meet customer needs, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems while putting safety first.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching and tagging procedures and understand grounding and induced voltage on de-energized lines.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment; work at heights near energized equipment.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and other transmission line equipment.
