Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman for transmission maintenance with Oncor. The role involves construction, repair, and maintenance of overhead transmission lines, often at heights, and may require travel to different job sites. Safety, climbing, and ability to operate line equipment are essential.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Willing to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Lift, carry, push or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Install and repair transmission lines and perform safety procedures on energized and de-energized systems.
• Operate bucket trucks and other transmission line equipment.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and EPZ grounding.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and respond to outages or emergencies.
