Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Transmission Lineman to support electrical crews across distribution systems. You will assist with material handling, equipment setup, and ensure safe work practices in live environments.

Responsibilities include reading maps and diagrams, operating bucket trucks and derricks, mentoring junior team members, and upholding OSHA standards; CDL and crane license preferred, 5-6+ years experience desirable.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of Transmission/distribution line work experience.
• CDL and crane license preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, plans, blueprints and diagrams.
• Ability to operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform wire stringing, sagging, clipping, and dead-ending of conductors.
• Climb and descend poles to replace cross arms, transformers and repair conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other equipment.
• Lead or assist as needed in Crew Foreman’s absence.
• Read maps and diagrams and maintain OSHA knowledge.
