Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair high-voltage transmission systems. This safety-focused role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, with travel to multiple job sites as needed.

You will report to the Foreman, lead crews in the supervisor's absence, mentor apprentices, and operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and related line equipment under various weather conditions. CDL required. Outages and emergencies may require on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including holidays and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain and repair transmission systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in the absence of the Employee in Charge; conduct safety briefings.
• Mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines and hardware.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
