Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC seeks a Class B Lineman to safely construct and repair electrical transmission systems, working on energized and de-energized lines and traveling to job sites as needed. You will report to the Foreman and support outages, storms and emergencies across multiple locations.

Requirements include a CDL and at least three years of transmission line experience, with a willingness to travel long distances on short notice.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Perform transmission line construction, maintenance and repair while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Apply switching and tagging procedures, EPZ-grounding and understand induced voltage on de-energized lines using proper tools and test equipment.
• Climb structures (wood, steel, concrete) using approved methods.
• Work at heights and near energized equipment.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varied conditions; be available for outages, storms and emergencies including on-call.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulation for energized lines.
