Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman in the United States to construct, repair and maintain transmission systems. The role requires climbing structures, working with energized and de-energized lines, and readiness for outages, storms, and travel to out-of-state sites.

Safety is prioritized; CDL is required and long-distance travel is common. The position reports to a Foreman and includes extensive outdoor work in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Three years of transmission line experience.
• Valid CDL is required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of switching, tagging procedures and EPZ grounding.
• Climb different structures (wood, steel, concrete) using approved methods.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks and other transmission line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and storms.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protective gear.
