Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to construct and repair transmission systems, work on energized/de-energized lines, and travel to job sites as required. The role demands safety focus, climbing ability, and operation of bucket trucks and related equipment.

Candidates should have CDL, minimum 3 years of transmission line experience, and flexibility for overtime, outages, and out‑of‑state assignments. Expect outdoor work in varied weather and environments.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out‑of‑state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems while prioritizing safety.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Understand switching, tagging, EPZ grounding and induced voltage on de-energized lines with proper tools.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment.
• Operate and maintain transmission line equipment and perform heavy lifting and rigging.
• Work outdoors in extreme conditions and be available for outages and on‑call rotations.
