Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class B Lineman to join our safety‑first team. You will construct and repair energized transmission systems, work on live lines when required, and travel to multiple job sites as needed.

Responsibilities include installing overhead lines, climbing structures, operating bucket trucks, and rigging. Candidates must have 3 years of transmission line experience and a valid CDL, with readiness for on‑call rotation and varied schedules.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems while putting safety first.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Comprehensive knowledge of switching and tagging procedures, EPZ grounding and understanding induced voltage on de-energized lines using proper tools and test equipment.
• Climb different structures using approved climbing methods and equipment.
• Work at heights and in proximity to energized equipment.
• Proficient in all aspects of heavy lifting and rigging.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers and other transmission line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE use and possess a comprehensive understanding of insulated protective cover to isolate differences of potential on energized lines.
