Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, maintain and repair electrical transmission systems on energized and de-energized lines. Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, is required; reporting to the Foreman.

The role emphasizes safety, leadership and hands-on skilled work with overhead lines, rigging and equipment operation in outdoor environments under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Five years of transmission line experience or equivalent.
• Valid CDL.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized transmission systems with safety focus.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Follow switching, tagging, grounding procedures and use test equipment safely.
• Climb structures using approved methods and equipment; work at heights near energized equipment.
