Job summary

Pike Electric LLC seeks a Class A Lineman to construct and repair transmission systems, work on energized lines, and travel to various job sites. The role emphasizes safety and leadership, including pre-job briefings and mentoring apprentices.

Applicants must have CDL, heavy lifting capability, and be willing to work long hours, outages, storms, and on-call rotations across out-of-state assignments.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent transmission line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work for extended periods at different job locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair energized and de-energized transmission systems while prioritizing safety.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and ground workers.
• Install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks, digger derricks, tensioners and pullers.
