Job summary

Electric Power Systems, Inc. seeks a Transmission Line Design Engineer to join our team in Alaska. This full-time role may require some travel.

Proficiency using PLS-CADD and knowledge of the NESC code are required. Alaska professional engineer registration or the ability to obtain it in the near future is preferred. You will lead transmission line design, technical reviews, standards development, and client communications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PLS-CADD is required.
• Knowledge of the NESC code is essential.
• Ability to interact with clients and support business development.

Responsibilities

• Develop transmission line designs including engineering analysis, route selection, structure spotting and line design calculations.
• Support business development and client interactions.
• Perform technical design, project reviews and develop transmission standards with drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, project scheduling and manage project activities.
