Pike Electric, LLC in Fort McCoy, FL is seeking a Groundman to start a rewarding career building and maintaining the power grid. You will report to the Foreman and perform essential line work with an emphasis on safety.

This entry-level role requires physical stamina, willingness to travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Outages, storms and on-call rotations may be required. Pike emphasizes safety, teamwork and reliable service.

Responsabilités

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair de‑energized powerlines while putting safety first.
• Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• You will perform rigorous physical labor and regularly lift heavy tools and equipment.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Inspect rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Follow all safety protocols and understand when to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
