Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions (AMS) is seeking a Maintenance Transmission Utility Forester to support Dominion Energy in Virginia. This field role emphasizes environmental compliance, land clearing, and safe vegetation management along utility ROWs.

You will work outdoors, travel regionally, supervise tree crews, and ensure safe, reliable electric service while engaging with landowners and stakeholders. AMS offers competitive pay, a company vehicle, and benefits starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry or 1 year UVM experience.
• Solid local tree identification skills.
• Ability to read maps.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight of ROW clearing operations.
• Conduct Danger Tree assessments and supervise removals.
• Ensure safe and reliable electric service delivery.
• Act as SME on utility vegetation management for clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure tree crews follow safety and arboricultural practices and procedures.
• Address customer concerns related to vegetation in and adjacent to utility easements.
• Negotiate with customers for tree removal as prescribed.
• Perform QA/QC inspections on completed vegetation management work.
• Identify vegetative threats to safe & reliable electric service and develop mitigation plans.
