Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Estimator based in Rapid City, SD, within the Pre-Construction department. You will produce time-and-equipment estimates, work-order pricing, and change-order pricing for key utility clients under master/service agreements.

This exempt/salary role reports to the Lead Estimator – Transmission and supports hard-bid, unit-price, and pricing for multiple projects. Travel is approximately 10–20% and pay ranges from $90,000 to $125,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in estimating, project engineering, or project controls for electric transmission and distribution.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and lookups.
• Ability to read and interpret plan-and-profile drawings and construction docs.
• Ability to manage multiple pricing requests against firm deadlines.
• Pre-employment requirements include pre-screening and driving license validity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare T&E estimates, work-order pricing, and budgetary pricing for assigned utility clients.
• Build labor estimates from crew composition and productivity.
• Develop equipment hour and duration estimates for various equipment.
• Price materials, subcontracted work, rental, per diem, subsistence, travel, and mobilization costs.
• Turn around routine T&E pricing requests within client deadlines.
• Estimate maintenance, small-capital, and storm-response work.
• Price change orders and extra work orders on active projects.
• Document pricing assumptions and rate references for traceability.
• Maintain current copies of client rate schedules and contract terms.
