Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. seeks an experienced Estimator to produce time-and-equipment estimates for two key utility clients in a high-volume environment in Princeton, MN. You will develop crew and equipment hour models, price materials and subcontracted work, and support the broader estimating team on bids.

The role requires strong Excel skills, plan-reading ability, and a proactive, client-focused approach. Travel is modest, and the position is salaried with strong compensation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of estimating experience in electric transmission and distribution.
• Strong cost and quantity aptitude with rate-schedule knowledge.
• Excel proficiency with cost-model construction.
• Ability to read plan-and-profile drawings, blueprints, staking sheets, specs.
• Valid driver's license and pre-employment screen eligibility.
• Experience pricing time-and-equipment or unit-price work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare T&E estimates and pricing for utility clients using contract rate schedules.
• Build labor estimates from crew makeup and hour build-up.
• Develop equipment hour and duration estimates for various equipment.
• Price materials, subcontracted work, rental, and travel per contract terms.
• Turn around pricing requests within required timeframes.
• Document estimate assumptions and rate-schedule references for auditability.
• Maintain current copies of client rate schedules and terms.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and bid documents.
• Solicit vendor quotes and assist with bid leveling.
• Coordinate with project managers to align estimates with field capability.
