Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Estimator in Rapid City, SD, to produce time-and-equipment estimates for utility clients under master service and alliance-type agreements. The role focuses on high-volume pricing, rate-schedule driven estimates, and collaboration with the Pre-Construction team.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of estimating or related cost experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read plans and contract documents. Occasional travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years estimating, project controls, or related cost engineering in T&D construction.
• Strong Excel skills for cost models and estimate spreadsheets.
• Ability to read plans, blueprints, staking sheets, and specs.
• Capable of managing multiple pricing requests to tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel and interact with client reps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare T&E estimates, work-order pricing, and budget pricing per contract rate sheets.
• Build labor and crew structures, determine hour build-up, and crew makeup.
• Develop equipment hour estimates for various equipment types and rates.
• Price materials, subcontractors, rental, per diem, and mobilization per agreements.
• Turn around pricing requests quickly and document pricing assumptions for audit.
• Collaborate with project managers to align pricing with field capability and schedules.
