Job summary

Brink Constructors, Inc. is looking for an estimator to prepare cost estimates for projects and aid management in bidding. Based in Rapid City, SD, you will develop substation bid hours and work with suppliers to finalize pricing.

This exempt salary role offers a path to grow within a long-standing electrical contractor. Requirements include a bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–3 years of estimating experience, with preference for electrical utilities work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction or Electrical Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Finance.
• 1–3 years of estimating experience.
• Preferred experience with Electrical Utilities—Transmission, Substation, or Distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop substation bid hours and bid sheets for estimates on bid projects.
• Contact suppliers for pricing and prepare take-offs and staking sheets.
• Analyze blueprints to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor; maintain vendor relations.
