Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Manager - Transmission to lead the engineering and design teams responsible for overhead transmission projects. The role combines leadership with technical oversight, workload planning, and project delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with project managers and leaders, oversee design packages, QA/QC reviews, and support business development and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Lead multidisciplinary transmission engineering and design teams.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead transmission design, plan & profile methods, and construction practices.
• Bachelor degree in a related field and PE license.
• 6–10 years of experience in transmission/related fields.
• Experience managing team workload, schedules, and technical deliverables across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, designers, drafters, and technicians on transmission projects.
• Ensure timely, accurate delivery of transmission engineering scopes.
• Coordinate training, development, and succession planning for the team.
• Monitor budgets, estimates, and project performance in collaboration with PMs.
• Oversee design packages, including plan/profile drawings and foundation/structure details.
• Provide QA/QC reviews and risk mitigation across projects.
