Job summary

Xcel Energy in Denver offers an engineering internship focused on Transmission and Substation Standards. You will collaborate with engineers to support projects, assist in standards development, and help with documentation and process maintenance.

The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineering student from an ABET-accredited program, capable of full-time summer work and part-time during the school year, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher.
• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours a week)/ part time during the school year (up to 20 hours a week) and commute to the designated work location in-person per the hybrid policy.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Engineering staff to support Standards projects.
• Work as an entry level engineering analyst spanning standards development including scope creation and document preparation.
• Process review and maintenance.
