Job summary

TechServ Engineering in Texas seeks a Transmission Construction Representative to manage field construction of transmission lines and substations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, local regulations and client standards. You will coordinate contractor duties, review plans, manage materials and outages, oversee safety and environmental requirements, and generate progress reports.

Willingness to travel and extended hours are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• ABET-accredited associate degree in electrical or civil engineering tech with 2 years transmission experience.
• High school diploma with 6+ years of transmission line or substation experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pass drug, background, and driving record checks.
• OSHA 30 or First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractor duties for transmission line or station construction.
• Review plans for constructability prior to construction start.
• Provide construction site coordination to meet regulations and client standards.
• Generate standard and ad-hoc construction progress reports.
• Inspect materials and coordinate delivery to the job site.
• Maintain OSHA compliance oversight.
• Work with project team to ensure successful project completion.
