Position: Transmission Calibration Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Job Description:

The Global Transmission Calibration Engineer will be responsible for developing the customer driving experience and optimizing fuel economy.

Key activities include but are not limited to:

1. Developing, verifying, and releasing transmission calibrations for automatic transmission applications,
2. Performing hands-on, in-vehicle calibration development work,
3. Supporting test trips to verify proper transmission operation across environmental conditions and other assigned powertrain development activities.

This position will coordinate activities of global teams involved in vehicle development for various markets. It will involve working with in-vehicle test instrumentation, ETAS-INCA calibration tools, and mathematical analysis tools such as Matlab to meet project objectives. The role includes managing transmission calibration project deliverables for assigned projects within a global team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or prior automotive experience (University SAE or other relevant experience is acceptable)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Desire to perform in-vehicle test and development work as well as analysis "desk" work, with willingness to collaborate with global teams
• Candidates with 3-5 years of experience, including new college graduates, will be considered
