University of Kansas Medical Center is seeking a Research Assistant in the Nucifora Lab to study molecular mechanisms in neuropsychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease. The role involves handling biospecimens, cell culture, data collection, and contributing to publications.

You will learn and apply laboratory techniques, manage samples, perform analyses, and support SOP development while collaborating with lab members on ongoing projects funded through translational neuroscience

Formación

• Two years of laboratory research experience.
• Experience with biochemical and cell biological techniques (e.g., Western blotting, immunostaining).
• Experience in neuropsychiatric disorders, molecular neuroscience, and translational research.
• Experience with biostatistical analysis using R.

Responsabilidades

• Perform clinical and research laboratory experiments independently or under supervision, following established protocols and procedures.
• Process and handle biological specimens, including sample preparation and tracking.
• Operate basic laboratory instruments and analytical equipment per SOPs.
• Maintain biospecimen inventories and documentation for traceability.
