Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a laboratory researcher to join the Sabnis lab focused on pediatric sarcoma biology and translational studies.

The role involves designing and executing bench experiments, as well as administrative duties like reagent ordering and data management. The ideal candidate will have strong lab training, be able to work independently and in teams, and commit to a longer-term growth track within the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific major; 3 years lab/bench experience OR master's degree with 1 year experience.
• English communication and teamwork skills essential; ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Follows predefined protocols and conducts standard experiments; performs trouble-shooting.
• Sets up, operates, and maintains standard lab equipment.
• Performs Molecular Biology, Cellular Biology, Immunology and/or Animal activities (ELISA, Western blot, viral plaque, flow cytometry, PCR).
• Records results and may manage databases; assists in training and data analysis.
