Job summary

The Sabnis lab at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago seeks a research technologist to assist translational cancer studies. You will set up experiments, operate standard laboratory equipment, record procedures and data, and support data compilation for analyses.

Reporting to Dr. Amit Sabnis, Associate Professor of Pediatric Oncology, the role is on-site, 40 hours per week, and requires a HS diploma with basic science coursework.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent and some basic science courses are required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols and performs standard experiments.
• Sets up, operates and maintains common lab equipment.
• Performs molecular biology, cellular biology, immunology and/or animal activities as needed.
• Records results, maintains databases and supports investigators.
