Job summary

Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a Translation Program Coordinator to develop, coordinate and manage translation services for staff, interns and volunteers. The role involves interpreting and translating for staff, patients and families, and ensuring adherence to department guidelines and quality standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation, 3 years of related experience, and ATA certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in translation and interpretation from an accredited college or university.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
• ATA certification; may be waived with a Master’s degree in translation and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates workflow of all translation assignments and ensures timely completion.
• Develops language/translation courses for interns and for staff training.
• Manages translation quality, including edits to Spanish translations for grammar and terminology.
• Invoicing, billing and collection upon delivery of final product for external customers.
• Communicates with external customers and coordinates with contractors/vendors.
