Job summary

Klamath Tribal Health & Family Services in Klamath Falls, Oregon, seeks a Transitional Emergency Shelter Guest Host to support participants in a temporary shelter. You will help maintain a safe, sanitary, welcoming environment and assist with behavioral health and recovery support.

This full-time, non-management role requires flexibility for evenings, overnights, and alternate shifts, plus a commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent within two years of hire.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information.
• Background check and TB testing per tribal policy.
• Ability to work with Native American families and diverse communities.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications (e.g., BLS).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
• Perform perimeter and fire checks as directed by TES supervisor.
• Connect participants with recovery-based supports and resources.
• Collaborate with the TES team to support low-engagement participants.
• Assist participants seeking behavioral health or substance abuse treatment.
• Serve meals and maintain a clean dining area.
• Maintain documentation and logs as directed by TES Supervisor.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and alternate shifts.
• Support tribal events and other duties as needed.
