Breakthrough seeks a compassionate Transitional Housing Program Assistant to support women and men in our Adult Service Network. The role helps residents move from crisis to stability by providing intake, case-management coordination, and access to services.
Based at the Women’s Center in Chicago, you’ll work up to 25 hours per week with varied shifts, collaborating with staff and partner agencies to promote self-sufficiency and dignity for each guest.

Breakthrough offers a new model for homeless services. We are intentional about treating every person in need with dignity and respect, so they receive much more than a bed to sleep in—they receive the tools necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.
Breakthrough’s women and men's transitional housing shelter first aim to meet immediate needs of food and shelter through our kitchens, on-site laundry and showers. Guests then receive on-site primary and mental health care, employment training, and housing search assistance and placement.
Demonstrating the mission and vision of Breakthrough Urban Ministries, the Program Assistant serves to ensure the health and safety of each individual seeking shelter and other supportive services by promoting growth, recovery, and self-sufficiency.
