Job summary

Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona seeks a Transition Technician - Special Education to support students 16–22, assisting with career assessment, job development and placement, plus self-advocacy training to expand employment options.

You will recruit students for the TSW program, help with transportation, conduct vocational assessments, provide 1:1 instructional support, and collaborate with teachers, counselors and local employers.

Qualifications

• High School education is required.
• Current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
• Valid or able to obtain Arizona driver’s license.
• Experience working with students aged 16–22.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students for the Transition from School to Work (TSW) program.
• Assist with providing vocational assessments to students.
• Provide 1:1 instructional support in vocational and life skills.
• Coordinate with employers and community partners for job placements.
• Maintain student case files and document progress.
