Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Special Education Teacher for the Transition Program (APT) for students aged 18–21. The role focuses on supervising and developing general work supervision, on-the-job training, and community-based instruction to support postsecondary transition goals.

The teacher will coordinate with the Work-Based Learning Center team, design IEP goals, and promote independent living skills and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or out-of-state certificate is required.
• ESL certification must be obtained within the first year if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEP goals and instructional plans for 18-21 year-old students.
• Coordinate with Work-Based Learning Center staff to align programming.
• Provide supervision and training on work behaviors and community-based instruction.
• Maintain data collection and documentation to support postsecondary goals.
