Qualifications

• Two years of college or 48 college credits or passing IU 20 assessment to become highly qualified.
• Basic computer skills to utilize CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs.
• Instruct reading, writing, and mathematics; experience with children.
• Effective written and oral expression; ability to attend to students’ daily living needs.

Responsibilities

• Arrives at designated job site according to the established schedule.
• Communicates and works cooperatively with teachers, students, parents, IU staff, district personnel, and agency members to meet student needs.
• Attends and participates in meetings and trainings as required.
• Maintains confidentiality in all matters.
• Implements instructional and behavior support plans as designated by teachers.
• Manages transition between activities and ensures student safety.
• Supervises and assists students on field trips and during school activities.
• Coordinates with employer/supervisor at work experience sites.
• Maintains records and inventories teaching equipment and materials.
