Job summary

Citrus County Board of County Commissioners in Florida seeks a Transit Van Driver to operate 8-passenger or smaller buses/minivans safely and on schedule. You will assist passengers with mobility devices and complete electronic trip documentation using a county tablet.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Valid Florida Driver License with clean driving record.
DOT drug screen and physical required.
Experience driving passenger vehicles preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate county vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws.
Use tablet to access routes, manifests, and service updates; update records.
Load/unload and assist wheelchair passengers; aid with boarding and alighting.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Report accidents or service disruptions promptly using electronic systems.
Communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; adapt to changing routes.
Complete required documentation and incident reporting.
