Job summary

Citrus County Transit is seeking a Transit Driver to operate vehicles safely and on schedule. The role involves assisting passengers, including those with mobility needs, and using a County-issued tablet to access routes, schedules, and service updates.

You will perform pre/post trip checks and document incidents and mileage as required. The position requires a High School diploma or GED and a valid Florida CDL with Passenger Endorsement; prior driving experience and a clean record are

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent.
• Three or more years of experience driving passenger vehicles preferred.
• Valid Florida CDL B or C with Passenger Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely and timely operation of Citrus County Transit vehicles.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety rules and adhere to schedules.
• Assist passengers, including loading/unloading wheelchair passengers.
• Complete electronic documentation on a tablet (check-ins, trip data, notes).
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
