Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Training Manager to oversee driver hiring and training programs in Denver. You will provide classroom instruction, coordinate cadetting and behind-the-wheel training, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a focus on safety. Responsibilities include interviews, maintaining training records, and acting as a back-up for the Safety Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of recent experience managing within a transit bus property of similar scope and complexity.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Clean driving record and a valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• DOT physical must be obtained and maintained.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational and customer service abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and hiring of drivers and trainees.
• Maintain training records and applicant files.
• Schedule and conduct interviews and pre-employment checks.
• Deliver classroom instruction on defensive driving and related topics.
• Coordinate cadetting, behind-the-wheel training, and schedules.
• Ensure training complies with all regulations and company policy.
• Back-up for Safety Manager and perform Road Supervisor duties as needed.
