Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Training Manager to oversee the Transit Instruction and Pathway Review programs in King County. You will supervise staff, coordinate training efforts, and ensure policy compliance while delivering high-quality mobility services.

The role requires strong public speaking, program development, and the ability to work flexible hours. You will engage with disability organizations, attend industry events, and promote best practices in transit instruction

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience working with or for persons with disabilities.
• Experience in individual training and public speaking.
• Ability to train and support people of all abilities.
• Experience navigating urban transit systems, preferably King County, WA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn new software.

Responsibilities

• Manage staffing process for the Transit Options Department, including hiring and training staff.
• Coordinate and manage Transit Options staff and activities; analyze reports to meet goals.
• Deliver performance appraisals and handle disciplinary actions.
• Develop and update training materials and MV Policy & Procedure Manual.
• Ensure staffing, payroll, attendance, and shift coverage within budget.
