Job summary

Modern Railway Systems, the systems subsidiary of Stacy Witbeck, is looking for a Transit Construction Project Engineer to support our Texas region in Austin. You will lead transit systems projects from planning through closeout, coordinating field crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

  • 2-6 years of experience as a Field or Project Engineer on transit rail projects.
  • Understanding of conventional project management controls.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, PDF Editors, MS Office Suites, Teams.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License in good standing.
  • Ability to travel for project needs, corporate events and training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead transit systems projects through planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, project correspondence, and logs.
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, labor productivity, material costs, and subcontractor performance.
  • Develop estimates, pricing, and change order proposals; review contract documents for scope gaps.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and look-ahead plans.
