DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) is seeking a Project Manager IV - Systems Engineering to provide engineering support, develop product specifications, statements of work, code investigations, failure analysis, and needs assessments for upgrades or repairs of the Light Rail Transit and Bus Systems managed by the Maintenance Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in a technical engineering field.
  • Six (6) years progressively responsible engineering experience in mass transit systems or related maintenance environments.
  • Valid Texas Class C driver’s license and clean driving record requirements.
  • Proficiency with PC software (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering technical support and develop specifications, SOWs, and maintenance modifications.
  • Lead investigations, generate technical reports, and develop test procedures with pass/fail criteria.
  • Write and modify maintenance documents, budgets, and procurement documents.
  • Lead/assist in design, development, and implementation of on-vehicle systems and improvements.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, OEMs, and vendors to resolve technical issues.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Transportation, Engineering, or related field
