Job summary

DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) seeks a Transit Scheduling Analyst to design and optimize bus schedules, blocks, and run cuts for peak efficiency and high on-time performance. You will manage route patterns, run times, and data while coordinating with Planning, Operations, and Marketing teams.

Responsibilities include ride checks, field verifications, and data-driven adjustments to service levels based on APC counts and traffic checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum three years in transit planning, scheduling, or related operations.
• Valid Texas driver’s license (Class A/B/C) with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Develop efficient bus schedules, blocks and run cuts to optimize peak vehicles and on-time performance.
• Maintain scheduling data: stops, run times, patterns, deadheads, route patterns.
• Perform ride checks and field verifications to ensure accuracy of planning data.
• Analyze APC counts and traffic checks to adjust schedules and improve service levels.
• Calculate miles/hours, apply costing formulas for payroll and public information.
• Regularly meet with planning, operations, and marketing teams for schedule adjustments.
