Job summary

GFT is seeking a Project Analyst to join our Transportation Security & Safety team in Baltimore, MD. The role offers a remote work model with a commuting distance requirement to the Baltimore, MD or Tampa, FL offices.

The candidate will perform analysis and planning to evaluate risks, develop mitigations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safety programs for transit systems. Requires 6+ years in transportation safety/security and 2+ years in project management; PMP or similar certs are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Engineering, Emergency Management, Planning, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional work experience in transportation safety & security and/or transportation planning or design.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, including managing budgets.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Working proficiency in project management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to client work sites for extended periods, including out of town and overnight travel.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the Baltimore, MD or Tampa, FL office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare analysis details and outlines, technical specifications, studies and reports, and project documents.
• Conduct safety and security risk assessments, hazard analyses, and threat assessments for transit projects.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and assessments of stations and operations.
• Assist with emergency management planning, drills, and continuity planning.
• Handle unusual or difficult problems requiring advanced knowledge.
• Interface with clients and work in multi-disciplinary teams with multiple priorities.
