Job summary

GFT is seeking a Project Analyst to join our Transportation Security & Safety team in Baltimore, MD. The role supports safe, secure, and compliant transit operations and requires the candidate to reside within commutable distance of Baltimore, MD or Tampa, FL offices.

Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 with a hybrid work environment. The ideal candidate will bring a background in security management or engineering, along with at least 6 years of relevant experience, and strong project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Engineering, Emergency Management, Planning, Criminal Justice, or related field.
• 6+ years of professional experience in transportation safety & security and/or transportation planning or design.
• 2+ years of experience in project management, including managing budgets.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Working proficiency in project management software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel to client work sites independently, including overnight travel.
• Must reside within commuting distance of the Baltimore, MD or Tampa, FL office.

Responsibilities

• Preparing analysis details and outlines, technical specifications, studies and reports, project documents, and provides support of broader security and safety activities.
• Conduct safety and security risk assessments, hazard analyses, threat and vulnerability assessments, and safety certifications for transit projects and operations.
• Conduct field inspections, audits, and assessments of stations, maintenance facilities, right-of-way, and operations.
• Assist with emergency management planning, drills, tabletop exercises, and continuity planning.
• Assignments may involve some unusual or difficult problems requiring job knowledge and abilities beyond entry level.
• Interfaces with clients and is able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and follow multiple priorities.
