Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Route Checks in Jamaica, NY. You will provide security, perform routine patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service to passengers and staff.

The role requires a NY State Security Guard License, 6 months security experience, and a valid driver’s license. Shift schedule is Thu–Sun 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, with pay $17.87–$18.87 per hour.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of bus depots, terminals, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.
