Job summary

Allied Universal in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Licensed Patrol Protection to safeguard clients across transit facilities. You will conduct patrols, deter incidents, and deliver proactive customer service to riders and staff.

The role requires NY Security Guard licensure, background checks, and adherence to protocol with an hourly pay of $19.09 and a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule. Allied Universal offers growth and a safety-focused team environment.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, and personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding perimeter areas, and other designated locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting suspicious conditions, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting emergency services and or transit personnel when appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, site representatives, and public-facing personnel regarding incidents and daily activities.
