Job summary

St. Cloud Metropolitan Transit Commission is seeking a Scheduling and Service Support Specialist to manage transit operator and dispatcher scheduling for Fixed Route and Dial-a-Ride services.

The role updates scheduling software and coordinates with Operations Managers to ensure efficient staffing and service levels. Requirements include a two-year degree in administrative support or related field and two years of operations or scheduling experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains operator and dispatcher schedules per bargaining agreement and procedures.
• Utilizes scheduling software to staff all shifts efficiently.
• Schedules drug and alcohol testing and special transportation events.
• Prepares operator and dispatcher work schedules.
• Administers work and vacation bidding process.
• Adjusts schedules based on absences and service needs.
• Documents scheduling issues and violations per policy and procedures.
• Provides service support to Operations as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Performs fit-for-duty checks and maintains charter exemption information.
• Supports labor relations and participates in negotiations as requested.
• Presents data and ensures safe, compliant operations.
• Maintains professional relationships with coworkers and customers.
